Haha, goes that way sometimes! Lots of good ideas of things to look into. If I may add a suggestion, how good are you at range estimation? Lots of things can effect how far things seem. I'm sure you know the ranges and stuff, just an idea. In low light I always shoot high.
The first shot was at "10" yards. Uh...no, seven.
I was pretty close on the two "15" yarders, but still shot high.
I also was sitting when I shot, so bending at the waist wasn't so easy. I usually shoot standing, but she was always looking my way, until she went behind the tree. I practice sitting shots on the ground, but didn't practice them from a tree. Stuff to work on.

Havent had a shot from the stand but have had an arrow garden under my stand. Arrows falling off shelf of my bow because I bumped it.

I heard a story once; "I saw a deer, I shot the deer, the deer died."

I thought your story was much more enjoyable.

Fun memories down the road.

Easy to shoot high when you are elevated.

That's awesome! First I spent a few minutes laughing, cause I've been there too....

Sounds exactly like whenever I shoot at a turkey...the only reason I ever killed one is they came back a third time...after I shot arrows all over...

Anyway, laugh it off, enjoy being alive and able to hunt, and go kill one tonite.

I have had that happen a few times. Keep working at it, and things will work out, even with the longbow.

I noticed that centaur stated that he has never missed an animal. Well, centaur, don't fret, I have completely taken up your slack in that department.
