I noticed a lot of bowyers offering colored glass now. Kanati now offers 6 colors! Wish he had that when I ordered. I would have got his dark gray glass with my gray riser.

Everything comes and goes in trends.

But really, the producer of the glass is just now offering the larger array of colors without the large up front cost like great northern and northern mist took on.

Before, it was white, grey , black and brown. Now these other colors are available.

James at JD Berry based his 35 year anniversary bow off of it actually. Red back and grey belly!!

Yeah, I was always a sucker for all the fancy exotic wood grain veneers,  but the old greens, browns and golden color glasses that seem to be more and more prevalent with bowyers these days really have my interest

I was juuuust looking at Henry's red backed Vixen on another site sitting on top of a real nice early season buck. Its a sharp looking bow. Lots of folks seem to be digging the colored glass, I'm still trying to get more with clear though - but thats just me.

I know I recently started using green, as it became available.

My glass supplier always says that 95% of bows being built have clear glass and pretty veneers.  the other 5% are made up of carbon skins and colored glass.  He would know if anybody does as he supplies a lot of glass to a lot of professional bowyers.  There are more options these days for sure but I'll sell 30-40 clear glass bows for every colored glass one.

That being said, I like colored glass bows a lot.  Chad

I am glad all the colors are available again, it's just something else to offer and at a price far less than clear glass with fancy veneers.

I also sell more clear bows than colored bows but I hope build a green one for myself real soon.

Jason that dark gray glass with a grey riser would be awesome!    :)

I think so too, I will be ordering some to try once I get caught up.
