Dave Johnson came to my house today!

I came home today and there was a 6' long tube in my garage, right by the door. It is my new to me Dave Johnson ASL. I just traded for it from Hatrick, (Dave Henn), And boy Is She pretty! It is 66" 48 @ 28 ". The riser is Imbua with a Rosewood strip sandwiched by two strips of Maple. It also has a Maple power wedge on the back side of the riser. The limbs are red cedar. It has brown glass back and white glass belly. It has white glass wedges in the tips with no overlays. My first arrow I released went straight to the center of the bulls eye! I took that as a good sign. It turns out I was right. I am hooked. I love shooting this style bow. I just put my Baraga up for trade. I am ready for another ASL! Here are some pics that Hatrick took and the last one I took.

Thanks Bisch. I believe that I will be hunting with this bow come opening day of bow season. Only a few more days. I can't wait!

That's a beauty.  Dave's bow is top shelf in all departments.  Congrats on your find, and have fun!

Dave is one of the best...I have one of his bows and love it.

Last I heard he wasn't making them anymore..

Dave IS top shelf as are his bows. An archery treasure for sure. both he and his bows.

This particular bow was on my bucket list. When it was offered to me in trade, I jumped on it!

Thanks guy's. There really isn't anything that I would change about this bow. I love it. I just got home from work and I am going to go fling some arrows. I've been thinking about it all day!

Leonard, glad you like the Dave Johnson. I don't want to show you my groups with the Stotler, you may want it back.    ;)

Lol, Hatrick I am glad that you like it. I think in time my groups will tighten up with the Dave Johnson. The thing that I like about it, is how it casts a heavy arrow. This bow will really spit an arrow down range! Bow season is just 16 days away here in Texas. I'm counting the days.    :archer2:

Hatrick I told you that my groups would tighten up. I love shooting this bow. I am already packing my stuff for the opening day of bow season.    :thumbsup:
