I wish I could be of some help. I was always told  that slightly weak was better with bare shaft. And yes the fletching would stiffen it up. How do your fletch arrows shoot your broadheads?

Zane, I think you are overthinking things just a bit? Once you get a bareshaft, a fletched arrow with field point, and a fletched arrow with a broadhead all hitting the same spot (and that spot is the one you are aiming at), you are there!

If you have an arrow that is "there" and you change the point weight just a bit, say 25gr, not much is going to happen. it it was "there" to start with, it would be a little stiff or a little weak (depending on which way you went with the change), but still perform fine.

Obviously, we want to closest to "there" that we can get.

Now go kill something and post up a story and pics!!!

Thanks Bisch.  The only think I need to do now is shoot them with some broadheads and I'll feel confident.  Just curious if others had some measure of how weak to keep the bareshafts.

Ask and you shall receive on the pics.  Shot this boar weekend before last.  Still using my AD shafts with a grizzly BH.  Pass through.  As you're all to familiar with, 125 yards and not a drop of blood we saw on the ground.

I was stressing a bunch when I did the tuning thing. I finally did what Bisch told me to do. Get it close with the bare shaft and fletched with field points, slap a broadhead on the fletch arrows shoot them with the FPs at whatever distance is your max...if they hit where you are looking and with the FPs you are done. I did it and have not thought about it since.

Took another 1/4 off and they are flying like darts.  Feel very confident with them now.  Thanks for the feedback guys.
