High Desert Hunter

So I have been shooting my Son's Bear Grizzly ( he is away in the Navy), and today I notice that where the riser wood is glued together, there appears to be a slight gap from the shelf to the bottom of the grip on the shelf side.  Not sure if it is just the finish, or if it is something to be concerned with?  It is an older model with the green wood and brown glass.

Post a clear closeup pic if you can.

squirt some loc tite 420 in it with a syringe/needle, if it is cracking should stop it.

What indiana said...and liquid super glue will also work.  Use a liquid type adhesive (not gel), it wicks into cracks better.  Be sure to clean out any loose finish, gunk or dry glue from the crack with the tip of a pin/compressed air before adding the new adhesive.  Apply carefully and let the adhesive wick into the crack for a few seconds, then quickly wipe off any excess/spillover before it dries.  Repeat in a few hours if needed.

Tried wicking some liquid super glu that I had on hand, not sure if it really wicked at all.  It doesn't seem to change size when strung or unstrung, or when I pull back on the bow.  Will take a fine needle tomorrow and see if I in fact managed to get any super glu in there, if not, the Loc Tite and a syringe it is.  Finally got my order in to build a few new arrows so I am not sitting idle.
