Does anyone care to comment on these knives? I just got off their web-site from here and I was surprised that they are hand made in the US with the price being in the china made range.

They are simple, functional knives.  My GFA neck knife is easy to sharpen and holds an edge reasonably well.  I have used it for everything from butchering chickens to taking back straps. They are well worth the money IMO.
Never quit doing good.

I have a dozen or so...super affordable,  easy to sharpen, very functional. I have used them for everything from bluegills to mule deer. I especially like the neck knife versions.

I have the medium sheath knife and really like it. It went on a week long elk and mule deer hunt in colorado this past week and worked great. It did get a little rusty but I fixed that quick when I got home.  I accidently snapped the tip of it off trying to dig a broadhead out of a pine log......oops. I just ground a new point on it and sharpened it up, it will be on my belt all this fall.

I have a couple of knives I bought at muzzleloading events with the same "canoe" touchmark. I was told they were made by Dean Oliver of Oregon. I might guess that the GFA knives are as well, since I saw the knives at ETAR this year and the knives and marks looked identical to mine. However, you may want to ask the Asbells about their supplier. I would think they could at least confirm whether or not is was Mr. Oliver.

I picked my 4" version some time ago at Comptons at the Asbell booth for $8.00.  Mine is stamped DMP which I believe stands for David M. Palmer.  They  look so much alike that they appear to be a stamped out production knife. Not taking away from it's ability to be a good knife because for the money it is a great knife. I use mine daily at my work bench in the basement.

I've had the small neck knife for years, if I'm in camp or out hunting it's always on me. Sharpens up quick.

Jon....you might want to call Teresa as she emailed us that they have never sold such knives.....they make them all themselves one at a time and use their own stamp and USA is also on them.
