My first trad kill!

I'm on my first traditional bow hunt, scouring the hillside for Mule Deer and scouting for Elk which opens in a week.  I've seen some elk, but no deer.  Today has sure been fun though, and I got my first trad kill - a big old Blue Grouse that I shot out of a tree.  He was about 30 feet up and making all sorts of noise.  My dad and I have seen a ton of Grouse and had a few close shots.  I was finally able to stick this one with my 125gr Judo Point.  Shooting a 50# Omega Delta Shortbow.

I really want to go on a grouse hunt.  It appears to be like "stumping" but with live game.. sounds awesome to me!

Congregations! I love hunting mountain grouse. I think it is my favorite part of elk hunting! Lol
