I have 76 Super Kodiak I bought a few years ago from a guy I worked with. I was going to set it up for a friend to help him get started in trad. I have a dacron string on it which measures 55" off the bow. My question is, is the string length correct and what should the brace height be? Specs are 60" 45#@28" Thanks.    :campfire:

Start at 8" and go up and down from there. That string may be too short though, unless it's new and has some stretch in it.

I measured the string again. It's actually 56" long..

Yes it is new.

Most of my S.K.'s shoot fine around 8.25"

Sounds like it may work then. Is that Super Kodiak a blue stripe?

Ken Sorg

Measured my string off a 71 or 2 super K and the string length is 56 1/4" @ the 7 1/8" that my bow performs best at with 55 to 60lbs. spined cedar shafts,,,,so best bet is to work it over and find out!
