Anyone know if this guy has a website. I believe he may be out bowyer'n now. not even sure I spelled his name right

way back in the day I worked at an archery shop, and we had one of his longbows on the rack...unfortunatly it was only 38lbs but shot perfectly.

I think he used to be around my area...kansas missouri.....

The last I heard, he was out of bowmaking.  He started making custom furniture.  He was located NE of Kansas City, east of Independence, Mo.  He might be making a few bows on the side, not sure.  I have one of his one piece recurves.

Best of my knowledge Mel is right on. He did make some nice bows.

He lived north of Lake City ammo plant on 7 hwy highway.   That would be Independence or Buckner.  Mel's right he got out of the business.

dangit....I think I need one of his bows.

Shifting Shadow

ks_stickbow, I spoke with him on the phone about 10 years ago. He told me he had just stopped making bows (although at that time he had a few on hand to sell). I believe he told me he had taken a job in an electronics plant. Super friendly guy. Before he quit he made self bows, string follow bows, and glass laminates.

One bow. One arrow. My ideal.

I sold the one that I had last year to a tradganger, can't remember the name. But the bow was 67# @29" and for me had too much hand shock.  I'll see if I can find the name and forward it to you. Maybe he would want to sell it.

Irish I actualy have a deal going for a longbow of his.....thanks though.

Also, how come we have never met? I live at about 103rd and quivera.....5 blocks from lenexa!!!!

I think Roger made his last bows around 1990. He wanted a better living than making bows full-time provided & he didn't want to continue making bows just part-time.

Clint B.

Excuse me. I meant to say he quit making bows around 2000. I'm a whole decade behind this morning. It must be Monday!

Roger made some beautiful bows; I owned one of his for awhile and my friend talked me out of it.
It would be nice to find that he may make some part time for resale.  The workmanship was flawless.

Jeff, I think we met at MoJam?   My office is at 107th and Pflumm, I live west of there around K10 and K7.
