Before pic.

Btw posting pics from my iPhone via imgur app is very frustrating as the page crashed on me several times and taking away the excitement by starting over.  There has to be an easier app to post pics.

This pic I posted is the finished skull after cleaning it up.  Excitement I had earlier in writing this is long gone from the app crashing several times.

That is a cool mount. I like the barnwood backing.

I'm assuming this is a find and not a harvest?  Looks as though he was a healthy deer. Large tines. Wonder if he was shot and lost? I like the mount. Thanks for posting.
Hmmmmm. I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm
not sure that what you heard is what I actually meant!

This was a find from May this year. Very healthy 6 year old buck indeed. I have no idea what did him in.  His skull was the only part of him remaining in an area of tall dry grass mixed w a scattering of young pine trees. Adjacent to this bedding area was a corn field. He had everything he needed in his home.  There were also a few doe skulls in this area too..  The buck was the best though.

Nice find, and nice work!! I've never done one, but I may try a Euro mount myself this year.

The rustic barnwood is a great touch.  That buck carried some great mass!!!

Thanks guys  :) .  Every time I look at his skull I have reverence  imagining how his  life was spent in his prime days, lying in his choice beds, walking his trails, and where he went from the point where I found him.. I know God looks after his creatures and that we aren't just blobs of goo that spontaneously formed into intelligible matter.
