Congrats!! Great hunt and thanks for sharing it with us. Good luck elk hunting! Antelope starts Sep. 19th in KS, reading stories like this pumps me up for season! I hope we read about your elk hunt when you get back.

Thanks to all for the kind words.

The selfbow is named PBR and is 5lbs heavier than what I have been shooting which is some of why shooting high but most just not focusing down.
Carcujou libations is the way to go. As all know the West is a tinder box and I didnt want to be the cause of the great grass fire of 2015 with a fire or cigar to salute the hunt and doe.

Congrats on the goat! So, do the does have little bitty horns? I have seen a couple pics of "does" this year, and they both look like they have little bitty horns?

Yep Bisch the does can have horns, I have seen some with horns large enough that I had to study hard and make sure there was no black cheek patch. The black patch is a buck only feature and at times is the only way to tell a doe with horns from a small buck.
I shot a doe once and was checked by G&F and the warden was giving me hell about shooting a record book doe her horns were that large. A does horns dont tend to bifurcate so they dont have the "prong".

Here is the last picture from the hunt. What perfect bounty. You want to talk about clean eating. Nature provides us with the purist of foods. Antelope tenderloin and home grown zucchini on the grill. Come on elk season.
