Nice setup.  If you are interested in building one using the ascender LB recommends you better hurry the MK1 model is being discontinued and hard to find these days online.

Where did you hear they are discontinued. I just bought 3 and while they were on back order they said would ship in 3 weeks. It's the number one ascender in the world and one of the oldest. I can't imagine it being discontinued and would like to know where you heard that. If it is gonna be discontinued I'll buy a dozen of them so I'm set forever for friends and family.

Just got an email from wildcountry (makers of the ropeman ascender).
They said the ropeman mk1 is thier most popular and sales are at an all time high. so much so they cant even keep up with production and they are selling out faster than they can make them.
It is NOT going to be discontinued!

I stand corrected.  Backcountry said they were backordered but not available until maybe OCT.  First person said discontinued.
