I just picked up a Roy hall Navajo stick its 53@28inches. Wondering if anyone has a similar set up and what shaft they shoot the 150 or 250  and what grain point. Thank you for any help.

I have a Bob Lee Classic, 55# @ 28".  When I shot Carbon Express Heritages, mine were the 250's cut to 29".  Used 50 grain brass inserts and a point weight of 150 grains.  Great arrow.....shot deer, bear, and turkeys with them.

Highly depends on your draw length and how the shelf is cut.

I have a Roy Hall recurve (can't remember the model) it's 47lbs at 28" and I draw a little over 29" so I'm pulling about 50lbs.  Mine shoots the 150s cut to 30.25" with about 175 gr up front.

I shoot a Stuart Slammer longbow, 55# @ 27".  My Carbon Express 250's cut to 29.5" with 175 grain points fly pretty well but are a touch stiff.  For your setup I'd recommend the 150's, which I hope to try next.  I highly recommend Heritage arrows, they can really take a beating.

29 1/2", 275 grains in front have worked well with 150's from 46# to 52# for me. Besides beman mfx and wood, cx heritage are my go to arrows.

150's cut to 29" with 175a up front work you think?

COMPOUNDLESS IN CONCRETE

I assumed a fast flight string and a 28" draw, the Stu Miller calculator at 3Rivers is showing me this:

The bow's dynamic spine is 62.

CX Heritage 250 cut @ 30.5", standard 11 grain insert with 175 grain point and 3 5" feathers, dynamic spine of 61.8.  531 total grains, 16.8% FOC.

I've found the Stu Miller/3Rivers calculator to be in the ballpark, but I always enter the shaft as full length and go from there.  I would err on the side of caution and order a test kit before dumping money at a half or full dozen.  You may be surprised what your bow likes.

I use cx 150's at 29.25 and 250 grains up front with inserts supplied by CX. I get great bareshafting on bows from a 50# recurve to 57# r/d longbow.
