The woods came from my property here in Riley IN, thus "Riley Child". Woods also that have been in my family for decades. There are prettier bows out there, but none that could mean more to me. Huge thanks to Big Jim for working with me on this.

That looks beautiful. I really like how the bow not just a work of art but has sentimental values. Its like a family heirloom being restored into something new. I really like the wood combination. That plum has a lot of character to it.

How does she shoot?

It's a lot lighter weight than yours, but can really cast and arrow. Yeah, Jim did well looking over the woods and choosing that plum knot the way he did.

I bet she's sweet to shoot. What is your draw weight? If and WHEN I get another im gonna with a longer light weight to work on form and 3d possibly be a buffalo. And probably gonna do amerian wood combo.but it will be a 3peice with it being longer. They are just fun to shoot.

It's 43# @ 28. With my shoulder issues, lighter is better, for now...

Mines not as heavy to me because im actually pulling 44 at 25" Jim measured it for me at my draw so I would know what it is. so if shot yours I would be in the mid 30's.

That bow doesn't take a back seat to any bow in looks. It looks great.

If I had a plank that my dad had cut, or a plank from a tree my grandfather or uncle had planted, it would mean far more to me than the fanciest tropical wood ever grown.

Treasure it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and to my eye, that's a beautiful bow.    Not to mention the sentimental value it must have to you.

Great looking bow and great idea for a bow build, a keeper for sure.
