With a wood arrow  :)
Had to see how them woods penetrate with a Simmons head. Blew right through! None of the carbon arrows went completely through and of the hogs I have shot with the 47# Palmer

Yeah ! If it goes through the last riblets of a 50# pig, sure it will blow through that 600+# elk chest like in paper bag    :D

The good news is that whole pig is the size of the elk vitals. The fact that you made a great shot on it tells me you won't have any problems putting one in an elk!
