When I'm hunting deer and turkeys, I usually carry four arrows. When I'm hunting small game I carry a few more.

This thread reminds me of a day deer hunting about 30 years ago. I left the house in the morning with 8 arrows, and came home that night with a bad attitude and an empty quiver.

I shot a whole bunch of arrows at four different bucks that day and never cut a hair. I couldn't do anything right to save my life. I'd killed a few deer before that too.  :dunno:

Bowwild

I carry 4 arrows, usually in a bow quiver that I take off the bow and hang in a tree.

I have 3 broad heads and one field point. When on an extended hunt (out of state) I still carry just 4 arrows but I will have 2-4 spare, ready to use, spare broad heads in my pack.  I can retrieve an arrow and change out the broached if the arrow is still sound. I've never had to do this though.

For hunting: 3 - 4 broadheads and two blunts for practice shots out of my stand once I'm settled in.

For 3D shoots:  I pack my back or side quiver full so that when I get off the course it still looks like I have a quiver full of arrows.

I have a 7-arrow bow quiver, so carry....

4 broadhead
1 blunt/stumper
1 flu-flu with a blunt
1 judo kondor for stumping in the thicker stuff.
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

Been taking four and will again this year, but will be including an extra rubber blunt tipped arrow using one of those piggy-back connectors. We have a bear problem here in NJ and I'm tired of having my sits ruined when one of the bruins shows up (which occurred 25 times last year). Have heard that a Judo point can/will penetrate the hide so don't want that to happen. Just want to give the offender something to think about before showing up in that area again.
I would rethink that logic, sir.  Particularly when posting on a public forum.  You can easily kill a bear with a blunt from internal bleeding.  It has happened to cattle in the past.  Move away from the feeders and you should have less encounters with the bears.
