It's your last day to scout (tomorrow morning) and you have to choose between setting up brush blinds in the saddles (entry/exit points) of a meadow that you know attracts mule deer. Or, you can go to a new spot entirely to "boots-on-the-ground" scout since it looks promising on Google Earth. Which do you spend your time doing? Getting another spot under your belt or improving an already good spot? If you don't get blinds set up, then you're limited to spot and stalk. I could potentially set up the blinds the first day I hunt there after the deer have gone to bed if I'm not stalking one and then return a week or two later to hunt the blinds. But that is obviously less than ideal.

This is my first archery big game hunt. It starts on August 15th and next weekend I'll be out of state at a family reunion...

Well, you can also use a ghillie suit and forget the blinds, then do both !
