I am about the order one the Shappell Chairs.  It rotates and only weighs 3.5lbs.  The reviews are very positive.

Dennis,

I've had most of them. The Waldrop is a great light packable hunting chair, but if I sit more than 2-3hrs it gets a little uncomfortable. I know that you and Irv are going speed goat hunting, so I assume you are looking for something in the blind sitting over waterholes. You will be in for all day sits, so you will want to be comfortable.

I sold the Blind King chairs until they took them to China. Like Pete said they are all steel now and very heavy, but they swivel and are comfortable. I bought a Millennium G100 last year and you won't go wrong with one, adjustable, swivels and comfortable. It would fit the bill for your goat hunt.

Call me! Come over and sit in any or all of them and you can decide.

Thanks, Kevin. I appreciate your insight and offer. You're right. This is for the pronghorn hunt. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and order the Millennium G100. It seems like that will be the ticket, so to speak.

I have owned most all of them except the Huntmore. Have tried several of the ones mentioned and they were too low, too small and a couple even broke.I have a Waldrop and it begins to get very uncomfortable after about30 minutes. The bar causes my legs to go to sleep. My favorite seat to carry while still hunting is the Walkstool. It only weighs 30 ounces and is nearly indestructible but it has no backrest. At Comptons I got a Millenium from Big Jim and have so far not found a more comfortable blind chair. It swivels quietly and is adjustable for height and uneven ground. Not sure what it weighs but is still a little heavy to carry while still hunting.
Time spent alone in the woods puts you closer to God.

"Can't" never accomplished anything.
