Dan just sent out my new Pika 54" 40#@28 along with a few riser scraps & black glass.  The riser wood is highly figured curly/quilted maple.  It's difficult to truly appreciate how translucent the grain/curls really stand out in a picture.  Knife is hand forged 52100, OAL 9 inches with a 4 1/2 inch blade.  Hopefully I can add some red coloration this fall...tippit

Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

Nice blade design! All the handle needs is blood stains to finish.

Very nice! So, you gonna be shooting 500's or 600's outta her? Would love to know how a well made 40 pounder performs. Love those Pikas.

Hey Jeff!  Great looking combo!  What kind of sheath are you gonna put with it?

Possum Head,
I'll be shooting 500's with 200 grain tips.  They fly great out of a Leon Stewart 40# longbow of mine.

Duckbutt,
I saw what you said on your FB about my use of a Whip Stick...shoulder much better but head a bit swollen  :)

Rastaman,
I'm really into Kydex for my hunting knife sheaths.  They hold the knife so securely no worry of losing one.  Actually I guess like Kydex for my Kitchen knives too as water doesn't affect it.

Very nice! I love the attention to detail. The grain matches up going "through" the spacers and tang. That looks awesome!

A hunt based only on trophies taken falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be . . . time to commune with your inner soul as you share the outdoors with the birds, animals, and fish that live there.

Ray,
I'm glad you noticed that.  Thanks...tippit
