Well I was taking advantage of a beautiful day today and decided to get my stands moved around and what not. Anyhow I recently gained access to the land next door to where I currently hunt and its very small but it had a couple ladder stands on it that were gifted to me with permission to hunt. Well all my ladder s have the top strap as well as one around the middle as well. Well not thinking right I climbed unstrapped the top and took one step down and saw the crap rope around the middle and realized uh oh. 15ft fall later a bone chip torn ligaments and a 2nd  chance at life. Should have never climbed someone else's set with out a a full inspection. As I lay there I couldn't quit thinking about me wife and 2 little ones at home. Absolutely life changing

Without angels, I wouldn't be here now. A few times over.

Glad you are ok. Lesson learned, next time might not e as kind. Everyone take heed and do not take chances. We need all our brothers and sisters for the next season.

Good luck. I can't think of the number of times I have climbed things I shouldn't have.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Glad that you are going to be OK. Get better soon.

Thanks for the reminder!

A hunt based only on trophies taken falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be . . . time to commune with your inner soul as you share the outdoors with the birds, animals, and fish that live there.

Glad you are OK, minus the ligaments. Praying for a speedy recovery.

The outcome could've been much worse!  Glad to hear you didn't get hurt and worse than you did!
