ive used this with great results gluing inserts in carbons.  Has anyone used it to glue alum or steel broadhead adapters to broadheads and how'd it hold up?

Alexander Traditional

It's all I'm using. I've shot it into my targets, and on live animals. I haven't had any trouble.

I use it for brass/ aluminum inserts to carbon arrows and steel inserts into broadheads, cant recall ever having a problem. Seems like good stuff to me.

Best glue I have ever used for inserts, but I have not used it for adaptors to broadheads, so I can't comment on that application.

Best glue I have ever used also I will not use anything else.    Widow

Works great with points on wood also.

The feedback that I have received is that it is great for all three types of arrow materials (carbon, aluminum, and wood) and steel to steel also.
thanks, bigjim

Cyclic-Rivers

I have used it with both the aluminum and steel adapters into points without any issues. I also use it for both aluminum and brass inserts.

Best point glue on earth in my opinion.

Thanks.  I will be switching from the old yellow stick to big jims for all my applications.  I have had the yellow hot melt loosen and I clean things pretty good before gluing...  I know for sure how well big jims glue works on inserts--- I beat the snot out of my stumping arrows and it holds...

Big Jim's is the best glue of all time , just keep it away from the dog. Lets just say I had to buy more after my dog got done taste testing mine , and no his butthole didn't get glued shut as I wished.

But how does it hold up in cold weather?

Past exoerience with OTHER hot melt glues in near/below freezing is that the glue can shatter and cause total release of inserts, points and glue-on heads.

It does not get brittle like some other Hot melt styles. Before using this glue I had lost tips every winter. I have been going 3 years without a tip loss due to glue Failure.
