I'm going to be using my Northern Mist Baraga 51# @ 28" with full length gold tip 5575 trads with 165 grain rothaar snuffers have a total weight up front at 225 grains gives me a total arrow weight of 570 grains.  If I need to I can always fall back on my old faithful...my black widow pch 60" recurve 51# @ 28" goldtip 3555 trads cut to 28" with 125 grain wensel woodsmans with 100 grain steel inserts gives me totaol arrow weight of 505 grains.
Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.

I'll be hitting the woods with my new 44# Javaman Elkheart shooting a easton 1916 with a 190 grain treeshark up front

Samick Red Stag I, Gold Tip 3555, 125 gr. as of yet to be settled on broadhead.

A custom Wild Horse Creek Mariah recurve 54#(1950's style). 50#@28.
I bought it as turkey bow but absolutely love the way it shoots. It's become quite the hog slayer.

I may use my Northern Mist Ottawa(also a 50's style), though. It's a custom, 49#@28, 60". It shoots and looks great,too.

Save some deer for me Dalton:)

Orion

Depending on where and what I'm hunting, I'll be using one of 4 or 5 bows in the 50-55# range-- Hill and Robertson longbows, ACS and Morrison Shawnee hybrids and/or Bear and Morrison Shawnee TD recurves -- shooting 550-650- grain Easton Axis carbon or Sweetland Forgewoods wood arrows tipped with Zwickey, Abowyer and  Woodsman broad heads.

Killed an elk last fall with an ACS hybrid, Axis shaft and Zwickey 4-blade delta, a deer with a Shawnee recurve, forge wood shaft and Woodsman head, and turkey this spring with a Bear TD, Axis shaft and Woodsman head. Just like to mix it up a little.

I'll be using my new Bear A-handle T/D with #1 limbs & Fred Bear Custom Recurve bowquiver.

Filled with cedar arrows that Tyler made, tipped with old green Bear Razorheads.

Tyler will be using his new Bear Montana longbow, with his Bear Razorhead tipped cedar arrows, in a Howard Hill backquiver.

Javaman Elkheart 53@26 54". I have a arsenal of BH's. Razor Heads, Zwicky, Magnus, Woodsman, Snuffers.

I was in a pretty good spot if they were wallowing and rubbing mud on the bottom of the stand and on the bottom of the tree I was in!

Unless I pick up another silvertip or a silverfox, I will use the silvertip with canebrake skins and antler tips.  I have had it for almost a year now, and it has treated me very well.  Supposed to be around 62# at my draw, but I think it is a little less than that.  Typically using mfx classic 340 shafts with 75 grain brass inserts and 175 grain broadheads.  Usually tigersharks or 3 blade vpa heads, but sometimes snuffers and other times treesharks that are a little heavier.

Bisch, good luck in Africa.  Never been there.  I suspect there will be alot of carnage to come.

Sam McMichael

Some things never change. I have a Hill Cheetah (55#) that I have used for several seasons and a NM Shelton (53#)that I have hunted with for one year. I will be adding an additional NM Shelton (53#) in yew about December.

Various bows, but if you see me shooting, it's probably a Toelke in my hand!

Big Jim 58" Thunderchild 50@28 pulled to almost 30. 30.75 inch 55/75 GT blems with 200 grain Deltas or 3 blade VPA. Thinking about adding some big Snuffers to the quiver this year too.

Jim Picarelli

I'll be hunting with a 68" Shrew Hill, 52@28

67" Hill Tembo, 50@27
67" Hill Half Breed, 53@27
66" Hill Redman, 48@27
66" Hill Cheetah, 55@27
66" Hill Big Five, 50@27

Fletcher

Unless something changes, I'll be carrying the same rig as last season: Toelke HS Whip TD, 62" and 50 lb at 26".  Arrows will be self finished Surewood fir, tail tapered and 570 grains wearing 200 gr heads, Grizzly Kodiaks, Instincts and VPA 1 1/4 Terminators, carried in a Great Northern Kickback strap on.  A SafariTuff fletch cover hides the chartreuse 4" 4 fletch and white crown.  This setup has great PBS medicine and worked beautifully for me last year and this spring.

I am kind is set in my ways, Pigger has been good to me more often then not, don't see any reason to change until one of us gets too old to complete their part of the hunt.

Last year:

The year before:

A couple years back:

A few years back:

Guess, maybe, you might understand why Pigger and I think we both have at least one more hunt in us.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Some very nice animals Walt. With that kind of PBS Mojo, and unless you want to make pigger jealous(LOL), you had better stick with her. Nice going Walt.
