A few questions about a ILF bow set-up;
If you have a 13" riser can you get limbs to make a 62" bow?
Can you get limbs to make a 15" riser a 62" bow? Or what length riser would I need to make a 62" bow?

Limb questions - if I put medium length limbs (let's say 45lbs @ 28") on a 13" riser will I have a 45lb bow? What if I put those same 45lb limbs on a 15" riser will I have a 45lb bow?

Draw weights adjustabitity if use the same 45lbs limbs (as above) is 45lbs the maximum draw weight or by adjusting the bolts came I go slightly over and under the 45lbs?

Trying to get a better understanding because I hoping to get to ETAR to check out a few. I have been looking on-line at the Dryad Epic, opinions?

Whats your draw length?

Generally, for each inch shorter on riser size, draw weight increases by one pound. So if a set of limbs is 44lbs on a 25" riser, they will be 54lbs on a 15" riser.

My set up is a 19" riser and medium limbs = 62" bow.

My draw length is 28"

Yes....a 13" riser with xtra longs will make a 62" bow

Speak with Mike at Dryad and he will steer you right. Excellent products. I do not think there are any 'standards' you can absolutely rely on except limb length.

17" with longs makes a 62" bow so 13" riser and xxl makes 62".

You would want to match ILF limb length to your draw length for maximum efficiency but not over stressing the limbs, at 28" draw you would not be getting into the sweet spot on a xxl limb.

I do not think there is a standard limb pad angle so equal length risers from different bowyers/manufacturers may yield different poundage's. The general rule used to be limbs rated on a 25" riser and the limbs would gain 1" for every inch of riser shortening, so plus 8# on a 17". Again, speak with who made the riser to get the expected poundage.

Limbs poundage with different makers can be rated from full wound in, midpoint or full out, again no standard. Also ILF and DAS connection systems have different amount of poundage adjustment.

Clear and simple as mud eh?

Recommend talk with who you are buying from to get fit with what will meet your needs. Limb bolt position and brace height are important to get into the sweet spot on a limb.

15" riser with xl long limbs will make a 62" bow

Jon, i have 2 sets of Dryad longbow ILF limbs. A medium and long both on identical risers. Makes a 60&62 inch bows. Ihave the shorter set at 48 and the longer at 50#. Shoot same arrows. Call Mike, he will steer you right.

My goal is to set up a 62" bow with a set of longbow limbs in the 45-47# range that I could lower to the 40-41# range for when my shoulder acts up.
I'll save up a few more dollars and then call Mike at Dryad bows.

Talk to Jim @ Centaur. He makes a incredibly fast,smooth and quiet longbow limb in long & xlong.

Limbs are only adjustable about ten percent on any given riser, so to do what you want to do with one set of limbs, you would need two risers 4-5 inches different in length

Yep, beauty of ILF is easy to swap limbs to risers. 19" riser and medium limbs 62" bow that would work well for 28" draw.
