What is the weight difference between a 7 inch wrap and an arrow crown dipped with white paint to about 7-8 inches?

Thought I could start building arrows since I can not shoot for at least another couple of months.

Thanks

Not enough to make any difference ...

1-3 grains difference.  I don't think you'll notice.    :goldtooth:

Weight difference will not effect it hardly at all. A bad release will effect more.   Also consider these.  The difference is the amount of time saved putting a wrap on v dip/paint.   But to me the most important aspect is how easy it it to peel off a wrap to re fletch vrs touch up the paint scrape glue etc on a dipped crown.

Thanks for the responses.  Just trying to figure out what I want.

If you only dip once, it may be a wash. But, the convenience, that's another story. Cost less, no bubbles, drying time or clean-up. Scrapes off when you need to re-fletch. And, an a ton of choices.

I've never weighed an arrow before and after crown dipping, but I know wraps on an average weigh about 1 grain per inch. Like others have said, not much difference to make a difference.

Well If I had the time it would be dipped and crested, just makes a purtier arrow when its customized to the owner.   That said I use a lot of wraps for convenience, odor, and cost.  Never noticed the weight difference.
