I am extremely pleased with my new Taipan from James. This is my second one due to a moment of stupidity I sold the other      :knothead:

But things have a way of working out. The new OE model is really something. I believe James mentioned a narrower and deeper core limb. All I know is it is a real shooter. My first Taipan I struggled with the grip as I am use to shooting a low recurve type on my ILF's. The deep locator on my new OE model is just right. There is a small flat section that lines up perfectly with the base of my thumb and once at anchor I can really feel the SOLID bone alignment. Wonderfully smooth drawing to 29.5" and 53# on this 66" model. The cast is very good and super quiet on release. As usual the workmanship is truly excellent and I believe James did good matching things up. While I usually go with bocote riser and black glass Jame's supply was low and asked if I like dark and heavy, heck yes I said an the macassar ebony was chosen. I have learned to just let James run with what he sees in his mind after he talks bows with you a bit and he chose the lams, riser fades, encasement, overlays, leather color and nock woods. He mentioned his current batch of clear glass was extremely clean and it is. I think he done good.         Thank you James for a wonderful bow and experience. I busted two shafts blowing out the nocks while tuning. Yeah it is an accurate son of a gun. Here are the mandatory pics.

Thanks to all for the nice comments, James done good, real good. Spell bounding for sure on those lams Green, I had never seen these before and James said it would look very good. I went with it and glad I did.

Thanks for posting the components James and again for a tremendous build.

Here is a closeup of the riser showing the intricate work with the wenge fades in the bamboo lambs (really like that) and the wenge, blonde bamboo and macassar ebony riser encasement.
