I think a two blade is best know matter what the weight.

The bows I use end up at 49-52# at my draw length. I have been using 125gr. Magnus II's for many years.

I've shot either 2 blades or 2 blades with bleeders for everything from 47-53 pounds. I switching to Simmons for this year.

I shoot 53#, 55#, 65# (and used to be able to pull 78#) bow. I shoot 2 blade on all of them.

A different reason for me. I also hunt with bows around 60# at my draw length and use 2 blades. I like the sight picture better. I favor Zephyr Sasquatch broadheads 1 9/16" cut.

I shoot 54lbs and shoot the Cutthroats. I decided to give them a try because I know the family (who are great people) and they have a lifetime warrenty with them. I'm sticking with them because I've never been able to get a BH this sharp and they fly great. I CAN'T WAIT to shoot a deer to see the blood trail these leave.

I see a few other "heavy" guys weighed in, but I will too. I only hunt with longbows between 65-85 pounds, I use two blade heads exclusively.

All of my bows are over 50, and I shoot Simmons out of all of them.

Used to hunt 60 lb, now down to 50 and still using 2 blades most of the time.  I'll use 3 blades sometimes too, not really that fussy or set on one.  I tend to like a wider cut, but really like the Grizzly Kodiaks.

I shoot 50#, and shoot 2-blade German Kinetic heads, both the standard 1 1/8" and the 1 1/2" models.

Not me... I've shot 5-6 deer with average sized 2 blade heads and only had poor blood trails with good shots. I'm a big fan of big heads with appropriate kenetic energy. Of course they will do the job in the right place and lots of folks have great success.

My bows are from 45 to about 55#'s and I shoot Simmons 2 blades. Tree Sharks only for the last 3 years.

Dave Lay

I shoot anywhere from 54 to 60 lb and have been doin it for 40 years with nothing but 2 blade ( or a zwickey with a bleeder) but a 3 blade has always called me....
