Ive tried sending email (no response) and calling (always busy) Bob Lee bows to see if I will be able to use a bow I ordered 4 weeks ago in a competition that happens in 3 weeks. I realize that Texas has been hit with floods recently . Anyone been in contact with them in the last week?

Caughtandhobble

Tom, there's been a lot of seriously bad weather across Texas this month. I don't know if this is the case but it is very likely. I hope they're OK and I hope that you get your bow.

My dad has been trying to contact Bob Lee bows this past week and has had no luck in doing so, both by email and phone.

I'm sure the flooding down there has caused all kinds of problems.

I have "The Natural"  62" @ 50 lbs on order and it was supposed to be finished w/in the next 3 weeks.  I'm hoping their shop didn't get affected by the flooding.

I'm bowless right now and impatiently waiting for my new bow.

If we hear anything, or if you hear anything Tom, post here please.

Thanks!!

Thanks for the info Brian. Im in the same situation. I have an Exotic Signature 62" @ 35 lbs. that also was supposed to ship in the next few weeks. I wanted to use it in a competition toward the end of June and am worried that I wont be able to do that.

I certainly hope the Lee family is OK and have been spared the flood disater.

Jacksonville had a tornado come thru last Monday night and there is still about 5000 plus people without power. I am not sure if Bob Lee bows was hit, but it did pass by on their side of town. I may drive down that way after while and see.

All I can say is a Bob Lee is worth the wait.  One of my favorite 3pc recurves of all time.  I just painfully sold one to fund the Stalker I just got...can't keep em all!  I'm sure the Bob Lee boys will make it through just fine.

I just came from Bob Lee archery. I just happened to catch Rob there. He said that they just got power restored this morning. There are huge trees down all around the shop. Fortunately there was no damage to his family or the building. Alot of people in and around Jacksonville are still without power and it could be 2-3 more weeks before power is restored to some people. As I have driven around, there is alot of devistation. All of the flooding has just compounded the problem. Rob said that they will be back up and running Monday morning. He asked me to apologize to everyone for not being able to respond. He has been without power at his house as well. Please keep the Lee family in your prayers as well as the residents of East Texas. There were other cities hit Monday night by the same tornado.

Leonard,

Thank you very much for the update.

Natural disasters are the worst, ol' Ma' Nature can sure get moody sometimes.

There is no apology needed from the guys at Bob Lee.

The safety and well being of their families is the #1 priority at times like these.

I am glad that shop will be up and running again on Monday.  I'm going through shooting with drawls.  LOL

Thank you so much Leonard! I am glad the Lee family is alright. I checked out their weather for the next 5 days and it looks like very soon sunshine and warmth will aid in the drying out process.

My dad talked to JJ yesterday and ordered my brother's recurve.

JJ also sent him a couple pics of my bow being made.

Still impatiently waiting!!!   :)

JJ posted some pics of the devastation around their building on the Bob Lee facebook page.
