is there a special tool or something to cut the notch in the arrow for the stone point to fit into?  or just a saw or something...

or, am i missing a component?  is there something that looks like a nock that holds your stone point and it glues onto your arrow?

Pat B

I cut a single vertical saw slot in the end of the shaft and open it to fit the point with a thin bladed knife and sand paper folded over. I use pitch glue(some use epoxy) and wrap with sinew, artificial sinew or silk thread set in glue. Before wrapping I make sure the arrow and point spins well without wobbling. Even after the wrap is added, you can adjust the point with a little heat.   Pat

I use a tile blade that fits into a hacksaw. It also works great for the nock end. Brian
