In glueing up a bow that is lets say osage, and bamboo, what glues have you used and tried that have worked, and what one's would you definately not use and why?

Urac 185 I believe the Number is!! Urac is THE Preferred Glue of Many Bowyers!!

I've used Urac 185, but mostly I use Smooth On nowadays. Just so I don't have so many different kinds of glues sitting around. I've never had a problem with either one.

Urac-185, none better and available cheaply from the Nelson Paint Company on line. Buy a pint at a time, a quart will go bad before you use it up. I order 2 pints at a time, one to use and one to store in the frig. It will keep for years if refrigerated, about a year if left at room temperature. One pint will glue up 6 or 7 bows.

Like said, Urac is probably the best but I have never had a failure with TBII or TBIII. They are cheat, readily available locally and do the job just fine. I have glued up Boo backed osage, yew, ipe, hickory and  locust. I have used them with hickory backing for the same woods and a few others.   Pat

Titebond II and III are amazing, no failures. I would only use epoxies with glass, however I have switched to hide glue from now on. I have a hard time these days making a trad bow and using two part epoxies (even titebond).
