Their was a fire in my bush last Sunday, and about ten acres of forest floor was completely burnt.
I know that the deer in the area will like this as it will promote new growth. just wondering if Turkey will like it? Anyone have any thoughts on this.

The one bad thing about fire and turkeys is it will kill polts and eggs.

I was just reading about a turkey study in my local Conservation magazine. Apparently 2/3 of hens first nests are unsuccessful and most will nest a second time. So you may be early enough in the year to still keep a strong pop.

Yep the turkeys will re nest. I have seen them trying in August still. The mushrooms should like it.

Once it greens up the gobblers like it for strutting. Nice and open and the hens can see them easier!
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!
