Not not alians but skunks. I was out hunting today with my new chekmate recurve. Anyways, I was walking out of the woods on a old truck path, I was getting ready to crest a little hell, not looking where I was going (looking off in the woods) I hear something coming at me on the rock path. I turned to look what it was and 2 skunks 10' in front of me. The funny thing is the wern't looking out either, they were as suprice to see me as I was to see them. They spun around and lefted there tails and I ran back down the hill, luckly they didn't spray.

So I walk around them and get bsck to the truck, as I round the back of the truck to put me stuff in it there is another one standing on the other side of the parking lot. Just to close of encounters for my likings.

I just tought I would share that with you guys.

Cute but stinky! At least they didn't give you any of their mind altering spray. :)

I understand!  For some reason I am a skunk magnet, I've got more encounters than room to type.

Miraculously I've not been sprayed.   :jumper:

I've had several skunks pass by a few feet away and I have had two memorable encounters with skunks over the years.  Both times I was going back to the truck at dark-thirty and happened to see movement ahead of me.  One skunk came ambling down the trail and stopped and sniffed my boot for a few seconds, then just went on down the trail.  The next close skunk encounter took it a little further.  After sniffing my boot and pant leg, he/she raised up on my leg and sniffed up around my knee before going on it's way.  It was very hard to stand still on that one.
