my experience was putting it together in the house and taking it back to the store in exchange for a lone wolf.

summitt is a good product. it just didn't "trip my trigger".

Like above, there is no comparison to the LW, they are noisier and they pack terrible I tried most out there and the LW i sthe way to go. I have two LWs. Shawn

i never heard of a lonewolf before, but i take it theyre mighty good.

i have an openshot, and at least it beats the old steel summits with the angleiron backbars, a lot quieter on and off the tree, and it's way lighter.

you wont fall asleep in it, but it's comfortable enough to hunt out of.

whatever a lonewolf costs, im sure it's worth it, but my openshot was under $200 and about $20 of that was shipping.

I bought an Open Shot.  Although I am a big fan of Summit I think the lab coat guy dropped the ball on this one.  I did some modifications on mine and now I can sit in it from dawn until dusk, with an extra seat pad.  For the price why should I have had too?

In it's original state it only had a crossbar and a simple strap to sit on and your butt would slip through the rear portion of the seat or the bar would dig into your butt or thighs.

The main idea is good though.  There are no arm rests that might get in the way and you have a easy rotation from left or right.  I bought it because with my other Summit twice I missed deer because my lower limb hit the arm rest while standing for a shot.  As for packing, I think is very good for my needs.

I have the Summit Clearshot and have no issues with it. I had to modify the seat a little just to make it a little more comfortable.

I have no problem shooting my longest recurve of 60" out of it and it will stick to a tree.
Can't see the forest for all the trees..

I would go with the Clearshot of the two without a doubt. I like mine, but I did get a Lone Wolf for a birthday gift this past year so I rarely use it.

In fact, if you think you might want it, send me a PM. I can make you a good deal on it. I could some some extra cash instead of 3 climbers....

I have the Summit Open Shot and really like it.  Light weight, quiet, and stable.
