Well done Clint. I know the emotional range is hard to describe when you finally succeed in the culmination of a great hunt. You done good, brother!    :clapper:

Congratulations on your fantastic hunt.  Your story brings back the emotions of my first trad deer.  Thanks.

Great story!  I've had similar personal issues with mule deer so I can relate and know how frustrating it can be.   :)

Clint,  I always enjoy your adventures and this one sure doesn't come up short.  Congratulations on your accomplishment.  You always seem to get the most out of every hunt.  I look forward to the next one.

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Congrats Ozy. I agree with Al Kidner, don't beat yourself up too bad for the time it took you to finally get your first deer with a bow. Believe me I know the feeling. It took me 5 long years many years ago when I started bowhunting to take my first deer with a bow, almost to the point of frustration and giving up, but like you I kept at it. How sweet it is for you Clint. Thanks for the story and sharing your adventure with us. Hopefully many more will fall to your arrows. Enjoy the sweet taste of the venison.

Congratulations on a fine trophy animal. Just beautiful. Nothing like doing it right plus good luck. That's an experience you will have the rest of your life.

God bless, Steve
