BUCKY

I've read about it now how about some pics of it in action. Thanks

Jason Kendall

I really like mine but sorry no pics.

Bucky,

I like mine a lot.  I use it when I want to be more mobile.  Couldn't spend all day sitting on it, but a couple of hours is not a problem.  Very, very easy to shoot from.

Please excuse my finger in the pic...LOL

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.

What I like is you can sit behind giant trees.

I the idea a lot. I just wish they made a shorter model. Current USA a Torges Seat and like to set up lower to the ground.

PeteA...so set it lower to the ground. I have set it so low, I couldn't stand up from it without rolling out of it. They are very versatile.

Hey Jim, when you set it low does it change the angle of the seat?

It does slightly. I did modify the seat a little myself. I changed the plywood out for a thicker piece and added some padding.

See, I'm 300lbs but have no padding in the rear end. So that's a lot of pressure back there  :)

I didn't change the angle any as I would normally sit up higher. When the need arrives to sit a little lower, I just do that and the seat isn't bad in that position. Modification is very easy.

I have been trying seats/chairs for years and found that most will work in a lot of situations, but few or none work in all. Having the correct seat for the right job means having an arsenal of choices.
If you can't be comfortable, you won't sit still and then you wont' see anything.

I love mine!  Rock solid, and you can lean against the tree.

Big Jim has a video on his website that would answer all your questions.

I made my own, for the most part its just like the  Hunter Seat except bigger tubes and seat.  Only draw back is its heavier.  I'll probably 1 from Big Jim next tho.

I was going to try building one but I'm all thumbs and not too creative so Big Jim's was much less stressful!

Jim, will you have any of these seats at Ky TradFest?

I made a couple myself. Had the material on hand or it wouldn't pay to build it your self. anyway, they are very versital seats. Just lean it against a tree and sit down.  Couldn't be simpler.  You can lean it against a fence post. Or round hay bail. Even lean it against your truck tire for a quick sit.

I made one. I got to use it a little bit last year and really liked it.

Make vs. buy...I had the materials, tools and more time than money so I made it.

All in all, it took me a few hours (don't know exactly) so, for what they cost, you don't really save anything if you're time is worth anything.

But, it's almost always that way when it comes to making stuff.

BigJim

I won't have any at the Ky shoot. We have been doing drop ships as of late.

I hope to have some of the millennium tree seats for that shoot though. Very nice and comfortable, but lends to a different situation.

I have been wanting on of these, I hope to actually buy one this year.
