i have 45 lb osage self bow having a lot of problems finding arrows to fly out of it only arrow that fly good is a 1916 but i want to use wood should i maybe try a longer arrow so it keeps the spine lower or try like a 35 lb spine arrow any help would be appreciated thanks

Bjorn

Usually self bows take arrow spine of about 5# less than the rated bow#.  A couple of variables; do you draw 28" and do you know what the string material is? You will need to play with arrow length and point weight too.

schnitz

yea i shoot about 28 the string just looks like a flemish twist

Shaun

I would try some 40/45 spine cut 29 and at least 125 grn point. If they still fly stiff try heavier points.
