Yes, I'm out without the wheelchair.  Even though I had to shoot from seiza position for much of it, but I still did it.  Workout weights went from 35 to 80+#, and I started shooting left handed, which is pretty hard with my ruined shoulder.  Working out my Manchu draw length, short draws and kneeling shots thumb style.  Yes, I hit the target in that last position.  12" spread, but hit it.  Stuff to work on.

Also to work on is that chair gut.  When I was sat down I didn't have that.  I'm too sedentary for my taste.  Arms are getting better, though.

Good for you ED, enjoy every minute. Still praying daily for you.

Well, let's not celebrate yet, I'm at the ER.  Possible inhalation pneumonia.  No heart attacks or dislocated hips, but we still have to stop the cough before I drop a lung.  Least I'm in the right place.

We caught pneumonia just in time.  A day or two and it could have been a lengthy hospital stay.  Instead it was an extended breathing treatment, antibiotics and pretty serious levels of steroids so I dodged a serious bullet.  Pneumonia is a serious thing for Marfan syndrome, for people with low immune systems, and those with compromised lung function.  I'm all three.

Ed, you have a good heart and strong spirit; it is always good to hear what you have to share with us.

Some of that spirit comes back to you, praying for your health and strength.

mangonboat

Way to get after it! Is that one of your Korean quivers you made?

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Glad to see you up and shooting. The archery spirit is strong and also kept me going the middle of last year after I had my operation  even with the low poundage there is not many things better for us than the flight of our arrows! Good luck.

Chad Orde

Stay warm brother and I will add you to my prayers! Onwards and upwards Amen!

I feel obligated to tell you I still need my chair most of the time.  The stroke isn't going to go away, and my hips can not be surgically repaired.  But I got out and shot anyway, so that's why I was shooting seated seiza style.

Bowwild

Excellent getting after it!  Thanks for sharing.

Ed, you keep at it, you have a lot to deal with but keep fighting. Good to see you flinging the arrows!
