glue/cement for tie on knocks

Hi, what are you guys using to secure your tie on knocks. I remember seeing somewhere not to use super glue because it can damage the serving and string material. Thanks

I use Loctite super glue but only use the gel formula as there is very little chance of the glue running past the serving. Thinner glues can get under the serving more easily and potentially damage the string. Just a dab is all you need.

Tie it on tight with the right knot and you won't need glue. S2 has a good tutorial.

I don't use any glue at all,tie them on tight and burn the tag ends.Doesn't move and stays on tight and easy to remove.

I use waxed dental floss, add wax and then tie my nock on. TIGHT I then, very carefully hold a match under it to melt the wax into the nock as I roll the string. Been doing it this way for 50 plus year. Nocking point starts to show ware, add wax to it and a match.

I use halo with a good knot only. With the right knot you can turn it up or down your string when tuning and it will stay without glue when you get it where you want it.

I use waxed thread for my tie for nocks. After I get it set I add some more string wav and heat with my heat gun on low. Melts wax into the threads. I used to use Ducco of Fletch Tite glue also.

I was writing training for more than 50,000 teachers and 2 million kids so I went to the source for the recommendations. No glue for me. The folks who make the fibers told me that's a no-no.

Knots with melted tag ends have never come loose on me. However, some of mine have only been on strings since 2010.
I start with surgeon's knot, then 6 half-grannies, and end with a surgeon's.

Just tie the knots tight and burn the tag ends and you are done!

No glue for me. I tie the over the rainbow, under the rainbow knot and I tie it tight.

Yep. Tie them on tight and then burn the tag ends when finished. They will stay in place. No need for glue.

No super glue! Chemical reaction to fibers, burns, leaves hard spot where breakdown will occur.

No heat! Dyneemas, spectras etc, have very low heat tolerances.

Yes, folks use these and have no problems or so they don't tell of any.

If you can tie off a good serving wrap, thread nocks should be good, too.

Now I have used Duco, lightly, or brush on clear nail polish to seal, stop fraying of the nock.

I tie mine on with two different methods (depending on if I have an extra hand available), and never glue mine at all. I do not have any issues with my nocking points moving on my serving.

I believe folks that say that their knots never move, but I have not had that same luck. It will stay for awhile, but then it moves or unravels with use and abuse of shooting.

So, I glue my knots all the time and I have never had an issue with the glue doing damage to the string. And they don't move and, more importantly, I don' wonder whether they moved.

I use super glue.
