I have a friend who's wife was due during the first part of bow season one year. He fretted and stewed over having to miss some hunting, but didn't want to leave her home alone. His wife, knowing how much it meant to him, agreed to go to camp with him so he could be close to her until the baby was born. I think he texted her every ten minutes from his stand to check on her. Camp was actually closer to the hospital than home anyway, but hows that for an accommodating wife?

Congrats!  My wife and I had our first this last spring, and it definitely can cut in to your hunting some.  However, they are all worth it!

Good luck!
For we did not follow cleverly contrived myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; instead, we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.

Congrats! Do what I did. Use the baby back pack. They sleep real well in them while you hike around. At least it gets you out, and if you are real lucky you might get a shot. I manage a nice doe with my second child on my back. Here is a pic from an archery shoot to give you an idea. Of course you need to wait until they can keep their head up.

I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Nothing like being a dad.  We had our second this past September and it definitely put a damper on my hunting, but it was far better than hunting, if you ask me!

Not that I couldn't have went, just preferred to stay home and love on kids.
