Just finalized the dates with our group for this years September's elk hunt. Adding 3 more days of hunt time this year. Already getting excited about the trip. DIY pack in hunt on public ground. I can hear the mountains calling me already!!!

What weeks is everyone hunting? We always seen more elk later in the season around the 10th to the 15th  but I am headed out for the opener.

Headed in on the 12th and out on the 19th. The mountains are calling my name. can hardly wait.

GMU's = Game Management Unit

We will be hunting the last 9 days of the season and will be in  GMU 214. Have hunted there several times in the past so shouldn't have many surprises.  Thanks for the offer Matty. It's nice to have contacts when you're so far from home.

I have been watching YouTube elk bow hunts since deer season closed! Ready to get back in the mountains and chase them elk. Might just make a scouting trip this summer if I can. Best of luck to you on your hunt

Been wanting to do a Colorado backpack hunt , have done backpack hunts in other states just not there yet. All my gear is ready to go guess I need to load up and just do it.....
