I've been contemplating for quite a while now about buying one of Steve Turay's bows. I've seen them at most of the events I've been to and they look very nice. Does anyone here have one of his bows?

LongStick64

You won't find anyone here that has had a bad experience with Steve or his bows. He is a true gentleman to work with and for my dollar, he makes a fantastic Hill bow that I always enjoy shooting and hunting with.

I have shot a number of his bows and own a Shelton. It is a great bow! I consider it as good as any bow I have ever handled.

If your looking for the Holy Grail  of D shaped longbows A Northern Mist might be the one. It was for me.

Blackhawk

If you do a "search" here, you will find lots of topics and comments on him and his bows...and I believe it was all positive.

My only issue is that he sent me my new bow before I even paid him.  Yep...great bows and bowyer.

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Don't own one, but have shot a few. The NM Classic is the best handling Hill-style longbow I've ever shot.
We are all here because we are not all there.

I have a Baraga, and have a Whisper on the way.  He's building a Seney for my daughter, and as said above he a top notch guy to work with.   A++++++++++ in my book.
Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.

I have three, two whispers and a classic.  I can't add much to what has already been said. I like Steve and the bows he builds.

cahaba

I have a Shelton. One of my favorites.

Steve and his bows are as good as it gets. I have several and another coming. The Shelton is my favorite bow.

Another northern mist fan here!
Love my baraga and have another on order.

Here is an article I did on Steve and his bows when I went up to visit him. Lots of pics of him shooting a 102# bow as well as pics of him building bows.

His bows are very well made and his attention to detail is unmatched.
He is a great guy and goes above and beyond every chance he gets.
You can not go wrong with one of his bows!!

Sorry that link didn't show up as a link, my phone didn't do it right and I'm in camp right now.
If you cut and paste it it should work or you can click on my signature the hit articles and its the second article down.

Maybe    this  will help, Jason.  Steve is a top notch guy that makes a top notch bow.

I also own a Baraga, 40# draw and I maybe be shooting it at 44#.  Great shooting bow, craftsmanship is top notch. I have killed several deer with the bow including one using a stone tipped arrow.
