Still searching for that  'perfect '  quiver. Been looking at a hip quiver for broadheads, anybody  have any experience with these?

ChuckC

Chuck made a living using one.  I have used one in the past, and it was OK.  Mine was a cheapie and not so adaptable.

I chose other options, but you just might like it !  Note... there is no "perfect" quiver.  Some are better for this, but not for that.  So, you need one of each !

I agree with Chuck, there is no perfect quiver. Every quiver I have used has its disadvantages.

I used a selway hip quiver on a Alaska hunt and did not like it. Since the opening is facing up it gets all kinds of debris and water in it.

I guess some quivers are better than others in certain type of hunts. To me the most convenient quiver is a bow quiver.

By hip quiver you mean like the Martin or is it Saunders kind? I had one like that years ago. It came with a tie down string for your leg. My hunting bud said it looked like a moving fan when I walked. Now the ones like Rod Jenkins has look like a much better option.

I was looking at the neet broadhead quiver but  those absdorkee quivers look much nicer. I have a gfa quiver right now and like it but isn't quite  what I want. Thanks for the input guys

I believe this is the best hip quiver I've ever used. I love the quick on and quick off hook system.

I own one of Mark's predecessors to the Absorkee.  I really do like it.

I use a hip quiver in the Scythian/Turkish style where the fletchings are behind me, not in front like a sword hilt.  Makes it a lot easier not to get hung up when stalking through brush.

The Absorkee Quiver...for hunting, currently there are 4 different models to choose from.

The Orginal Absorkee quiver.  This is a 5 arrow quiver, it's "u" shape design keeps the arrows in a nice bundle, yet allows for easy access.

The Emigrant. This is a 6 arrow quiver, 5 broadheads, and a dedicated pouch on the outside of the hood for a Judo Point, or rubber dub.

The Short Trail.  4 arrow quiver, this one is the one I currently use!  The foam hood in this one is not as deep as the others, it's the "compact" model.

The newest one, The Ridge Line. This quiver has the full size foam in the hood, it's a 4 arrow (broadhead), plus one, a spot for a small game point, 5 total.  Included is The Small Game Point Holder.  TSGPH, is a magnetic insert that safely and securely holds a variety of small game/stumpin' heads.
The angle in which the quiver rides, make ease of going through the thickest of brush, with no damage to the feathers. It's no need to get un dressed to put it on or take it off feature, makes it one of the most versital quivers out there.
These quiver are available in buckskin, tan, light, medium, and dark brown.  Each is individually made, all work is done by hand, giving each quiver it's own uniqueness!
Thanks,
Tim

I guess if we run into the bear that is making these tracks, we oughta just get off the trail.......He seems to like it!

Back-in-the-day, I had a quickee quiver on my bow and an extra bracket on a loop around my belt. I could switch from the bow bracket to the belt bracket in a few seconds. It worked OK.

I am going to check out those Absorkee Quivers though. They look very nice!

I've made myself a donggae quiver for my shorter arrows.  Works well for my 32" arrows.
