My preferred weight for hunting everything from deer to elk or moose has been 52-55# @ 29". But I've recently picked up a set of Rose Oak limbs for a Bear takedown that are 44@29" and I'm really liking the lower weight. If I were to buy a new bow I'd probably be looking for something in the 48-50# range.

Well I prefer 46-48, but a recent shoulder issue has me shooting more like 40-43.
Need to send my Falcon for weight reduction, or find something to replace it.

50 lbs is about perfect.
But 48-52 works for me.

Usually 48 to 50 but recently shot a 52lb tghost that felt great. I guess it could depend on the bow.
