Got an email from a friend stating Mike Fedora sold his business. The company will be in St George, Utah.

More info to come...

The new bowyer is Dean Miller and his plan is to have the shop up and running end of March. I wish Dean the best, I love my LH Fedora one piece.

Last time I spoke to him, he told me Jason left. It took him longer than he planned to catch up with the orders. I'm sure the bowyer is well trained to take over the business. He has earned a break from many years of hard work.

I wish him well. Mike is such a great person to deal with and I love my 560!!

Very interesting. I have shot some of Deans bows in the past. I might have to drive down and talk with Dean.

Wishing Mike the best on a well deserved retirement!

I was the lucky winner of a custom bow Mike donated to the PBS last spring at the semi-annual banquet. All I can say is he is a master at his craft.  The longbow he made is one of the smoothest shooting bows I have ever shot.  The only problem with it is I made the mistake of letting Grant Rung (one of our adopted college students), shoot it and he fell in love with it.  I don't think I will get the chance to use it again.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

joe do you know if dean miller is the bowyer that was working with Bill Kerner some years ago?

The new website is up, but not quite complete.  As I read it, he now only offers bow weights in 10 lb increments, ie 30,40, 50, 60.

Bill Kerners bows are amazing.  I have two recurves.

Mikey...I'll look into it but I don't think so.

I wish him well, as he deserves it.

And I wish the new owner success carrying on the legacy.

Mikey....

For a short time, Bill Kerner (Allegheny Mountain Longbows) and Dave Miller were working together in the bow-building business. Bill was from Apollo, PA (if my memory serves me), and Dave is from Home, PA; two towns not really too far from each other. Dave had been a bowyer before the joint-venture, and has continued on his own after the parting of business ways, creating his own designs and the "common designs" with variations. From what little I hear, Bill Kerner is "off the map", to places unknown....
