I noticed 3R is advertising their gasket lacquer as "NEW".  I emailed them several days ago asking as to whether it had been reformulated to eliminate the cracking and crazing that began occurring last year.  Haven't received an answer yet.  Anyone know anything, or have used it and can provide info?

I was having major problems with the stuff and ended up speaking with an engineer with the company that makes the finish, where 3Rivers buys it from. He denied up one side and down the other that any reformulation had taken place to cause the finish to crack.
Now, fast forward a number of months, and I've heard from a few sources that gasket lacquer has been "re-formulated" to eliminate the cracking. So maybe it's been re-re-formulated?

Thanks Guy.  I'll post up whatever answer 3R sends me when they do.  I just find it odd to mark the product as NEW with no explanation as to what NEW is, especially after the problems we experienced last year.

Love the idea of the gasket lacquer system, but really hate watching my arrows turn into what they became. I think I might wait for braver souls to try it again first.
