I used the Kwik way back in the 70s , might just go back to that one .

Graps, I have several of the Game Tracker versions and there are some Sta Jacs on the big auction site now.

Lech:  That site has similar arrow holders, but not sat jacs.  Should work fine though.  

Fletcher, mention of the three on the auction site is really pumping up the bid.  It's at $25 already with more than a day to go.

Years ago I had a StaJac hold onto the arrow and pull it off the string as I drew on a buck.

From that point forward I pull and release the holder before I start to draw on a deer. No problems since.

Yep.  I do that too, charlie.  The instant I see a critter, my first move is to release the holder from the arrow.  Should have pointed that out above.  Good advice.

Orion. Correct. I have used the StaJac but prefer these since they release much easier. I will admit they do not hold an arrow as securely but I'm OK with that.

I gotta agree with the nay sayers. I've never had good luck with that model. For lots of reasons. Still use the Kwikee model and never had it fail or give me problems.

You guys who are cool headed enough to go through a checklist when a deer arrives are gifted! When the mystical beast arrives in my zone- my knees start shaking and I go on auto-pilot. Last thing I could think of is to make sure the arrow holder released the arrow. I couldn't even use sight pins back in the day!  All the reason I went to trad- NOT for the challenge, but to REDUCE the challenge. I NEED fail safe!

I just use a rubber band with a toothpick.....works great, cost is ZERO

I like this model but may be considered to high-tech.

I missed a toad of a deer at my in-laws....from about 6 yards....because I was staring where I wanted to hit the deer and forgot I had sight pins.  Sold that bow and bought a Stillwater Aberdeen recurve.

Graps, out of the very tree I was sitting in. I shot 4 deer with this bow this year and forgot to pull the holder all 4 times. It had no effect on arrow flight
