Frustrating isn't it. I have all the problems mentioned, plus, I have balance problems, so no tree stands for me, and I don't see nearly as well either anymore ! Golden years ? Somebody else must have my share of the gold !

LP Kelley

I've just been e-mailed this. I don't know if this is something new. I haven't checked it out yet but it is designed to improve deafness and tinnitus. It is nonperscription and it's called
Lipo/flavonoid.

Anybody on here know anything about this?

Miss Kim

Moengo, I thought the same thing when I saw this thread! I live with the man and thought "Hearing problem???? Seems to hear me just fine...most of the time!"

     :scared:

We all get old together. Just get used to it and be happy.

I'm the same way, Miss Kim...very selective on what I hear my wife say, it's more an acquired talent than an impairment.

  He gets better and better at it the longer we are married.....  :D

Mickey, I have the same problem. Mine is diagnosed as Tinnitus - constant ringing in the ear caused from nerve damage.  Probably noise induced (guns, saws, mowers, chainsaws, loud noises) Will have it forever - hope to get some help soon, eh?  What???

Yep, me too. I'm 47 and have the same problem. I also have a constant ringing in my years--that's from many years of unprotected ears while riding loud motorcycles, loud music and guns in the stupid days of my youth  :)  ....

No Mickey I don't have the problem. But I have found myself surrounded by bugling elk on several occasions. I hate to admit this but one time I actually made a tremendous stalk 180 degrees from the intended quarry. I may be in denial.     :knothead:

They say that when you lose one sense you gain some at another.

As I lose my hearing, I`m waiting for some other sense to get stronger. Hasn`t happened yet. Matter of fact, I`m slowly losing all my sense!

TXRED

I resemble most all the above remarks!Lotsa gunfire, loud music, hotrods & motorcycles from early on(tuff neighborhood),to many hours on heavy equipment & chainsaws when it wasn't "Macho" to wear hearing protection has taken its' toll.  :knothead:

Heard my wife calling me just the other day and no matter how far I walked, she just seemed to get harder to hear.  :D

The walking didn't help my hearing much, but the pain in my butt seemed to diminish considerably! Ah the wonder of excersise.

Tom I have a feeling Charlie's wonderful wife doesn't read these threads    ;)

it's good to have a sanctuary eh?

If I wrote something like that Dianne and I would be having a "discussion" when she got home from work

Man it was windy this morning and there were about a dozen squirrels runing about. I had a real hard time pinpointing the noise this morning.
Did see a spindly racked 4 pointer and a yearling doe this morning though   :bigsmyl:

We used to have a saying here that so and so was just talking to "hear his head roar".
Now I don't have to talk, and I hear it roar anyway...
Is it too late to be what I could have been?
