Finally got the bulk of my projects done and got to shoot the vixen a bit.
It shoots every bit as good as it looks. Just a perfect bow, James's grip is pure perfection. Just so well behaved and whisper quiet. Throws the arrow down range very nice!!! I'll be shooting it and grooving it in as this wil be my goto tourny bow this year

That really is a great looking Berry.  I have said it before and I'll say it again - NO ONE builds a better longbow then James Berry - No one...... at any price!

Dang it Brian you are making me want to get back on the list and I haven't even shot in my new Taipan
Everything has a price - the more we accept, the more the cost

Just beautiful! What, no red elm cores? Lol! Congrats, buddy!

That's a beautiful bow.  I really respect James Berry.  The guy catches a tough break and instead laying down and quitting he steps up and perseveres.  Better than ever.  He is a class act and his bows reflect it.  Thanks for sharing Brian.

No red elm this time. I was broadening my horizons lol
Gotta say, this black walnut makes and absolutely AMAZING BOW!!!
this vixen has really drawn me in.

The bow is just mesmerizing to look at in person. I literally just stare at it , and hold it at different angles looking it over. It blows my mind what James has done with this one. It is the epitome of functional art to me.

Then you nock and arrow and start shooting and everything just flows together nicely. A pure joy to shoot.

She will be my goto for sure. I'm not throwing my MorningStar aside or anything, the MS is the bow by which all were measured. And still is in shoot ability. The vixen matches the MorningStar in all aspects but the vixen is hands down my beauty queen.

Brian, JD Berry lives about 2 hours away from me now and I'm always working near Medical lake for the railroad. How about next time you get a bow from him, I'll pick it up for you and send it off to you a month or so later. Deal?
