Season is over and it's always nice to see what has made it through and will hopefully be around next season.  I put out a camera for a week and caught these two great bucks travelling together.  The near buck is a nice 10pt.  Look over his right shoulder and there is an even bigger buck!  I don't have any better pics but he's a big one.  Same camera picked up two other nice bucks that look to be just under p&y.  I can't wait for 2015.  So, what made it through your season?

I'm putting up cameras in a couple days, but I am hunting new property next year.  There is a stud 8 point hanging around.  He may go P&Y, not sure.  Where I have been hunting in middle Tennessee he would be run of the mill, but for a mountain buck in WNC he is a stud!!!  I will be hunting spring birds in his stomping grounds, and hope to get a good idea of his habits then.  This is private land, and I am the only hunter.  I will be after him hard come October, and if not.....he has lots of girlfriends.

Best of luck guys, the season never ends.

Had my camera out for a couple weeks and have not checked it. Always happy to see bucks post rifle season.

I've always envied those of you who can keep an eye on survivors and hunt for sheds.  Deer I hunt typically are displaced from summer range during rifle season, so it's pretty hard to know where survivors will be in fall.

I hunted this deer last season; saw him numerous times, but never close enough for a shot. He had a buddy that was a good 5x5 with drop tines, but I didn't get a picture of him. As far as I know, they both made it through the season. Next year should be interesting.

Let shed season begin.

I'm pretty sure this is the one that busted me when I tried to stand up for a shot....I rushed it and should've just sat still!

This 8 point survived. I took the smaller 8 that is with him.

Camera is not out yet but I know most of the bigger bucks were shot by the neighbors.  I don't know if anyone shot this 3 year old though.

I have a little 400 acre plot that my self and 3 other hunters have been developing for 3 seasons now. Bow only, though 2 of my fellow hunters are allowed to use training wheels during rifle season. This was the first year we didn't see quality deer though I know that the ajoining property was hunted hard. Checking my game cams this weekend and found this:

And unfortunately the apparent reason why we haven't seen more game:

Too bad he covered his face!Definitely not one of my hunting buddies. Guess what I'm hunting for this weekend...
