It was a nice cold day here, and I decided to go out stumping a little bit. I had my camera with me so I decided to take a few pictures and show you the place I get to hunt. This is a nice pond that's normally got a lot of ducks on it.

Alexander Traditional

Here's an old rail bridge beam that the hogs like to rub on. I don't know if you can see it or not,but they have rubbed off quite a bit. I guess they like the creosote.

Alexander Traditional

Here's my blind. We had to cut a lot of branches down to get some trails cut and get some room for the blind, that's what all that is stacked up in front.

Alexander Traditional

I was shooting pretty good today, and center punched this ant hill from 20 yards. It was cold out and the ants did not appreciate my shot all that much.

Alexander Traditional

I walked up on an old deer blind and pulled away a piece of plywood to find this rats nest. He was in there and he ran down under some other stuff when the light hit him. I don't know if you can see the fresh cactus or not,but I guess they eat it.

Alexander Traditional

It looks like the rat was eating cactus, and it looks like a coyote was trying to eat him for lunch. I have seen a lot of them out here, but haven't been able to get a shot.

Looks like a great day.  That's a nice looking bow - what is it?

Alexander Traditional

It was a great day,I had a lot of fun. The bow is a three piece Big Jim Buffalo bow, thanks for the compliment.

We just do not have many stumps out here.  You have a great place

Looks like a good day afield! Where do you hunt at Rick?

Very cool!  Thanks for sharing.

It's been freezing here, and basketball season keeps me busy.  I'm itching to get out and shoot around a bit.

I just love to watch these stumping posts. Nice to see the variation in landscapes and terrain. Envy you the absence of snow...
Thanks for sharing.
Maybe there should be a dedicated forum in here for all us tree stump-killin' dudes.

Hey Bisch I hunt down 37 in Cambellton.

Biff I can only imagine how cold it is up there. It's been rainy and nasty a bunch down here.

Trond I have to agree with ya,that's why I took the time to take a few pictures myself. I like it when people post these sort of threads to.

Good looking spread! Man if I had a private pond like that I'd be missing all kinds of ducks!!

That is pretty funny. I guess I could give it a try. I don't know why they are so scared. They just get sight of me and fly off.
