Well after about 30 emails and numerous phone calls with Brian I finally nailed down my specs yesterday.

The wait is on, and it should be ready in February!

Now to ease my pain..

Has anyone gotten one recently??

If so your thoughts and of course pictures!!

Sean B

Its a great bow. Smooth draw, they really throw an arrow.   I love the Med grip.  I have two; a 58" 52# @ 28 and a 60" 57# @ 28.

Poor guy, I'm not sure how he puts up with us sometimes!

If all goes as planned, I pick up my Stickflinger at the end of this month.  Hopefully It'll have a date with a moose come September.  Less than 10 months now.  :-)

Do I remember correctly that the Stickflinger limbs and the Tundra limbs interchange on the same riser?

Mike Vines

Anybody else on the list to have a TT built?

I usually have something on order. I'll have to check...

TradBrewSC

Haha yes. Brian is a good man!

I do believe the tundra and stickflinger limbs interchange.

Chechen riser w/bocote or cocobolo flair, Brian's choice.
Checkered grip

antler knob limb bolts

Thunderhorn Lynx quiver probably FMJ arrows.

VPA 3 blade for most game, Grizzly or RMSG cutthroat heads for elk and hopefully moose!

Mike,

My bow is a 58 inch recurve with Macassar ebony riser and myrtle limb veneers and antler limb tips. The bow will also have a checkered grip and antler limb bolts. I will post picture when I get it. Brian said that it was getting close to finished this week....so it won't be much longer.

Anyone know the speed difference (if any) between the two limb options? And lead times? Been looking at the pics on the website. Have always shot recurves, been wanting to try a takedown longbow.

Steve O

I've not pulled out the chronograph in a long time but I have both and the Stckflinger is faster. The regular longbow is no slouch; nothing that looks like it does should be as fast as it is!

I got my first Stickflinger a few weeks before I left for Africa this summer but felt so good and tuned so easy it was a no brainer to take it.

Mike Vines

Nice choice on wood selection.  Macassar ebony is my favorite wood for a bow.  I have a Tall Tines tundra with Macassar riser and limbs, and now I will have a Stickflinger with a Macassar riser and I chose brown glass for the limbs because I have an idea in the planning stages for the limbs right now.  Either way, both of them will be the ultimate hunting bow...until I get another Tall Tines, then it will be added into the rotation.     :bigsmyl:

If it's in your way, move it.

Hermon

Do a search for Steve O's African hunt.  Pics on there.

TradBrewSC

Well mine is finally coming together! Brian sent me these pictures on Friday. He still has some work to do but is getting close! Now the anxiety is starting to sink in...

Manitoba Stickflinger

WOW...that'll be a real nice one! You'll love it!
